Scientific Name...........
Common Name............
Galleria mellonella
Wax Worm Cultures

In their natural habitat, they are pests of honeycombs feeding on pollen, honey, and beeswax.

Store worms between 55° — 60° F. Most typical refrigerators are too cold to store them in, but the door of the refrigerator is a little warmer and will usually work fine. They will keep for up to a month or tow if kept at proper temperatures. Before being shipped, the worms are non-chemically treated to slow or completely stop the cocooning process.

CULTURES

Leave at room temperature and they will cocoon and turn into moths which some reptiles love. It is fun to watch them chase the moth.

Store around 65° F to prevent them from cocooning. The cultures aren't treated, so they will cocoon.
