How to tell the Gender of a Hissing Cockroach.
Hissing cockroaches have very small, but distinct differences in gender. Males have large horns on the front part of their bodies, directly behind their head. They also have hairy antennae. Females are smoother in appearance, possessing only small bumps. They have smooth antennae. Both genders hiss. A cockroach must be at least 3/4" long before gender identification is possible.

Hadn't ordered these before because I was unsure of them. I ordered 5 for my Beardie, I ordered the Med/Sm size, again because I was unsure. He loved it, although they were a little on the small side, so the next time I am ordering Large. All arrived alive, cold but alive, and there was even an extra in the package (I am sure this was in case one perished). Definitely ordering again, these things are kind of cute.
