Yellow mealworms, Tenebrio molitor, is believed to have originated in the mountainous regions of Iran and Northern India and migrated into Europe during biblical times. Mealworms were introduced into the United States around the time of the Revolutionary War. In the early 1800's mealworms were already being raised as a food for pets, especially birds.

Bad bugs

I ordered 2000 giantmealworms.. Almost half came in daed or rotten. Smelled horrible! I have never had an issue before and I've been ordering for a while. Will stick to super worms....
Thanks for all the great bugs. I guess just a bad batch...:/
