Fluker's Cricket Farm - Live Crickets

Selective Breeding - Crickets (Acheta domestica) from multiple farms throughout the country were mixed and bred for over 60 generations into a special strain called the “American Mix”. This is why Fluker's crickets have less mortality upon delivery and survive longer after they arrive, up to 8 weeks with proper care and nutrition.  We recommend a temperature range of 70-75F during the day and at night to keep their metabolism and immune system to function properly. Crickets are a rich source of protein and when gut loaded properly offer many other nutritional benefits to repitles. Reptiles love to eat gut-loaded Fluker's Crickets, order your feeder insects for sale online today.

Crickets are available in sizes ranging from 1 week old (3/16 of an inch) to 6 weeks old (1 inch) and in box counts starting at 100. We also offer a 250ct 4 week old crickets and 250ct medium mealworms mixed box. This is a great way to help diversify your reptiles live insect diet. When ordering the mix, crickets and mealworms will be packaged loose together in the same box. Looking for just mealworms?

Feeding small reptiles or frogs? Consider ordering a live Flightless Fruit Flies Culture.

Help your crickets live longer and provide more nutrition to your reptiles with Fluker's feeder insect supplements. Live Delivery Guarantee Winter

Fluker Farms guarantees live delivery when temperatures are as low as 16 degrees at the destination and/or regional sort facilities. While most insect growers simply refuse to ship at temperatures below this threshold, Fluker Farms recognizes how much you rely on live insect for your pet’s nourishment and feel you should have a choice in the matter. Therefore, we provide the following options when the weather drops to 0-15 degrees (we will not ship to any areas below 0 degrees).

1) Ship Without Guarantee (SWG)-You can choose to have your insects shipped when the night time temperatures are between 0-15 degrees by selecting the SWG option, however, we cannot guarantee live delivery and NO REFUND will be given for insects that do not arrive alive.

2) Hold For Weather (HFW)-If you choose the HFW option, your order may be held up to 7 days while we wait on improved shipping conditions. If after 7 days the weather doesn’t improve enough for your order to be shipped, it will be cancelled and any charges refunded.

For your convenience we offer a variety of shipping methods. Please choose the method that is best suited for the conditions in your area. Keep in mind that although Fluker Farms will replace any crickets that do not arrive alive (subject to the extreme weather policy outlined above), Fluker Farms DOES NOT guarantee any shipping charges. All shipping charges are final and non refundable. Please inspect your packages upon delivery and contact us immediately with any problems. All live insect claims must be made within 2 business days of delivery. To request a claim, please fill out our credit request form. All claims will be processed within 2 business days.

Go to Shipping Advisory to see if there are any advisories for your area. States listed in red currently have night-time temperatures of 15 degrees (F) or below: If you have any questions or concerns related to your state or our shipping policy please feel free to contact us or call (800) 735-8537.

3rd time ordering and loving it
Shawn Morrill (Williamsport, PA) 10/21/2014 6:00 PM
So far haven't had any issues with the orders. Although some times the site is down and I can not see if it was shipped or not, but all in all very pleased with everything. I can even feed the dead crickets by hand to other pets I have. Heck fish love crickets so even if there is dead ones, they can be used for fishing. No complaints yet and hope not to have any since my reptiles love the food. I'm even trying a different type of insect. I always order the over night shipping so I know they will be mainly all alive when they arrive. Thank you again for everything. Plus you cant beat the prices for what you get.

Great Crickets, but Worms?
Brittany Daniel (Lake Charles, LA) 10/11/2014 9:55 AM
When I received my order of 100 1/2" crickets, only two were dead, and they were all healthy and active. There were definitely 100+ crickets in the box. Two weeks later, I've only lost two more, four in total. My only issue is that, upon opening the canister, there were five black fuzzy worms in there. I think they may be wax worms, but I am not certain. This was concerning. I just found two more of them in my colony today( must of overlooked them). What is up with that, Fluker's Farms? Contamination issue or just loose worms in your colonies?

Crickets
matt ferree (lake havasu city, az) 10/9/2014 11:57 PM
I ordered 1,000 crickets. I ended up with about 700 crickets, 500 beetles and 300 little worms. I called the company before opening the box because I literally thought I got the wrong order because all I could see through the screen was beetles. They were all alive and packaged nice, I give them that. I feel I was shorted because I have fed approx 100 crickets since I got the box, I had to take my container outside when I dumped them because of the beetles, I have to keep the crickets inside because of the heat. I was hoping most of the beetles would fly away if I left them outside with the lid off for a while. Some did, every time I open ed the lid on my tank though about 3 more of the beetles had reached maturity enough to fly out though, then I was chasing insects around my house. I just went to clean out the tank tonight, remove any dead crickets and replace the egg crate. There were 2 dead crickets, that was all, I only pulled out maybe another 300 crickets though, I've not even fed 100, that's only about 400 crickets total. I gave a 300 cricket buffer just in case by saying 700 earlier. I have ordered in the past from fluker but this was the last time. They do have the best prices but I guess you get what you pay for...

Great crickets, bad worms!
Heather W (Hammonton, NJ) 10/1/2014 7:44 PM
Shipping was impressively fast, and the majority of the crickets arrived alive. 100 1 week old crickets are fantastic! 100 2 week old are low in count and highly infested with big black hairy looking worms! The worms are larger than the hatchling lizards I purchased the crickets for! Not sure if I will try Fluker's again, or go somewhere else.

Most arrived dead
Lori Hestad (Sioux Falls, SD) 9/4/2014 5:18 PM
I was really excited to receive these for my 9 year old son, however after opening, maybe 20-30 were alive. Not impressed and I hope this is resolved.
