Fluker Farms - Live Crickets

Selective Breeding - Crickets (Acheta domestica) from multiple farms throughout the country were mixed and bred for over 60 generations into a special strain called the “American Mix”. This is why our Acheta domestica have less mortality upon delivery and survive longer after they arrive, up to 8 weeks with proper care and nutrition.  We recommend a temperature range of 70-75F during the day and at night to keep their metabolism and immune system functioning properly. These insects are a rich source of protein and when gut loaded properly offer many other nutritional benefits to reptiles. Buy your feeder insects for sale online today.

Crickets are available in sizes ranging from 1 week old (3/16 of an inch) to 6 weeks old (1 inch) and in box counts starting at 100. We also offer a 250ct 4 week old crickets and 250ct medium mealworms mixed box. This is a great way to help diversify your reptiles live insect diet. When ordering the mix, both will be packaged loose together in the same box. Looking for just mealworms?

Below is a video from our very own Dave Fluker showing you how to create a set up to house all of your insects in. Check out our YouTube channel for more feeder insect and reptile related content!

Live Delivery Guarantee Winter
Fluker Farms guarantees live delivery when temperatures are as low as 16 degrees at the destination and/or regional sort facilities. While most insect growers simply refuse to ship at temperatures below this threshold, Fluker Farms recognizes how much you rely on live insect for your pet’s nourishment and feel you should have a choice in the matter. Therefore, we provide the following options when the weather drops to 0-15 degrees (we will not ship to any areas below 0 degrees).

1) Ship Without Guarantee (SWG)-You can choose to have your insects shipped when the night time temperatures are between 0-15 degrees by selecting the SWG option, however, we cannot guarantee live delivery and NO REFUND will be given for insects that do not arrive alive.

2) Hold For Weather (HFW)-If you choose the HFW option, your order may be held up to 7 days while we wait on improved shipping conditions. If after 7 days the weather doesn’t improve enough for your order to be shipped, it will be cancelled and any charges refunded.

For your convenience we offer a variety of shipping methods. Please choose the method that is best suited for the conditions in your area. Keep in mind that although Fluker Farms will replace any insects that do not arrive alive (subject to the extreme weather policy outlined above), Fluker Farms DOES NOT guarantee any shipping charges. 1st Batch of crickets
Bruce Doyle (Howey in the Hills, FL) 9/23/2015 2:27 PM
I received my 1st batch of crickets today, (1 day after shipping - FAST!) 1000 mediums. Very small fatality rate, I just wanted to let folks know as I read a few bad experiences from other customers. I think some folks who find the shed, exoskeletons think they have dead crickets, which is not the case. I do have the luxury of being in Florida, which is close to Louisiana so shipping is quicker. Thanks FLUKER'S for a good 1st experience. BTW, I like the box shape better than the flat ones as it makes it easier to dump the crickets into holding tank! :)
Why even ask what size I want?
john zahn (Buffalo Gap, TX) 9/20/2015 8:20 AM
I have been ordering for a baby bearded dragon so have ordered three or four week old crickets. I get huge fully grown whoppers. He eats them but it makes me nervous since all the literature says do not feed them over sized crickets. If you can only send the one size don't ask me what size I want. One week the big ones were on sale. I ordered the more expensive small and was charged the higher price and they sent the big ones. Grrrr.
Great service, live healthy crickets
Stacie Martinko (Washington, NJ) 9/16/2015 11:24 AM
We recently obtained a month old baby Jackson's Chameleon and he is outgrowing fruit flies so I searched all the local pet stores for pinheads or extremely young crickets with no luck. Came here, ordered 100x 1-week old crickets to see if it was worth it (if they arrive alive, healthy, etc) and was it ever. Within two days I received well over 100 completely healthy, very small baby crickets. I am guessing this was in anticipation of some dead-loss but there really was hardly any, but the gesture in and of itself speaks volumes about how they treat their customers. I was also a bit worried since b/c I only ordered 100 of the smallest crickets, as well as fortified cricket food and water-gel, I chose the cheapest shipping option which was USPS 3-day Priority but my worry was unfounded as they arrived in only 2 days, and in great shape. Overall, this is a great service and recommend it to anyone needing crickets or other insects.

I ordered 500 expecting some dead feeders given my experiences with other sites. But there was not one dead cricket! I'm getting ready to setup a recurring order now because of this positive experience.
delivery issue and just ok customer service
Morris (VA) 8/18/2015 4:24 PM
Overall, most of my orders have had a large enough percent alive but they do have a lot of the beetles and worms mixed in which I was told are harmless. Our last order didn't make it for @ 5 days via USPS and were all dead. I let them know that I hadn't received the order and the response was very to the point - that tracking showed it had just been delivered. No sorry for the inconvenience, let me know if they are alive, etc. I sent a picture and asked for a new order at no charge. I was told per policy that I would have to pay for the shipping and only the crickets were guaranteed for refund. I asked if they couldn't get a refund from USPS instead of penalizing the customer for the lost order. Again, not rude but to the point, was told the policy says no guarantees or refunds on shipping for USPS. I asked for what refund I could get and to cancel my recurring service. The reply was "I am sorry. I will refund." I am disappointed that I have to pay for USPS error and although not rude, I didn't get the feeling that they care whether I am happy or if I cancel with them. It was overall a disappointing interaction and since I am not a fan of all the worms and beetles that come along with the crickets, decided it was time to change.
