Fluker Farms - Live Crickets

Selective Breeding - Crickets (Acheta domestica) from multiple farms throughout the country were mixed and bred for over 60 generations into a special strain called the “American Mix”. This is why our Acheta domestica have less mortality upon delivery and survive longer after they arrive, up to 8 weeks with proper care and nutrition.  We recommend a temperature range of 70-75F during the day and at night to keep their metabolism and immune system functioning properly. These insects are a rich source of protein and when gut loaded properly offer many other nutritional benefits to reptiles. Buy your feeder insects for sale online today.

Crickets are available in sizes ranging from 1 week old (3/16 of an inch) to 6 weeks old (1 inch) and in box counts starting at 100. We also offer a 250ct 4 week old crickets and 250ct medium mealworms mixed box. This is a great way to help diversify your reptiles live insect diet. When ordering the mix, both will be packaged loose together in the same box. Looking for just mealworms?

Below is a video from our very own Dave Fluker showing you how to create a set up to house all of your insects in. Check out our YouTube channel for more feeder insect and reptile related content!

I bought a box of 3000 crickets. I received them on Wednesday 6/29. I feed my dragon 30 to 40 per day as she is very young. By my count that is only 280 crickets in the 7 days I have had them, low and behold I will be out of crickets come Thursday morning. Do not think I received the full 3000 crickets I ordered. Very disappointed. And just like others have reported I have black fuzzy caterpillars in there (had at least a hundred of those) no spiders thank god and no ants. Unsure if I want to try ordering again and getting ripped off a second time. And as there is only a 2 day window to report any problems I am out of luck. There was no way to count them in the box to see if I had in fact gotten all 3000 crickets. Very Very disappointed
Just ok for me
Justin Manning (trenton, OH) 7/3/2016 3:48 AM
Ok, I ordered 500 crickets a few weeks ago. Upon opening the box i too had a ton of ants inside and a spider crawled out just like another reviewer mentioned. The crickets themselves were alive, but seemed to be all different sizes. My beardie is young so i ordered 1/4 inch crickets. There were clearly many fully grown adult crickets and a whole array of other sizes. So the bigger ones were way too big for him so those went to waste. I doubt i would order from fluker again. The mealworms and Super worms were all good at least. Pretty disappointed.
Love this place!!

I have had only good experiences with ordering from this site. We order 500 crickets once a month for our bearded dragon. The only compliant I have is that there are little centipede looking things that come with the crickets (also noticed some black beetles, but those don't bother me as much) and they reproduce like crazy!! I do not like them. On another note, I read a lot of reviews saying that they received the wrong size. I've never measured a cricket, but I researched before I bought them the first time and we ordered the 3 week old 3/8" crickets. They were the perfect size for our small dragon. We have since moved up to the 4 week old 1/2" crickets. For a while our dragon was in this weird in-between stage so that the 3 week were too small and the 4 week were too big, but the 4 week ones are perfect now. What I'm saying is, if you have a baby dragon, DO NOT buy 1/2" crickets. That sounds small, but it's really not. Overall I'm very satisfied with this company and will continue making my monthly purchases.
Cricket order for juvenile bearded dragon
David Thrun (Saint Cloud, MN) 6/4/2016 2:32 PM
Although I have had good reports from the pet stores I have worked in about the crickets we had ordered from Fluker's several years ago. The first order I had just placed and received, were in great health, (and lost few dead ones after receiving them) I keep close track of what I feed my bearded dragon!! After the crickets were gone and I added the counts of fed and dead crickets, I realized that I was shorted at least 100 of the 500 I ordered! Due to customers only having two days to complain, Which is impossible to do if you know what I mean? (And I know you do, if you've ever ordered a quantity before!) I will just have to eat the loss and move on to a different vendor of crickets. this was disappointing and less cost efficient than I had expected. :(
More than just crickets in the box!
Amber (Ohio) 6/2/2016 2:53 PM
I recently ordered 250 crickets. I did not count all of them but I have ordered that many from a local pet shop before, and there's no way that there was 250 in the box. Also, when I opened the box of crickets there was more than just crickets in there...There was also spiders, lots of ants, and a few black beetle looking things. I might give it one more try when I run out, but so far I am not very satisfied with my purchase.
